Emirati Women Graduate Abu Dhabi Maritime Training Center

Abu Dhabi is marking a new milestone, as the first three Emirati women graduate as masters (Captain) of 24-Meters vessels from the Maritime Training Centre at Abu Dhabi Ports. Day of the Seafarer Celebrated in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Ports celebrates ‘Day of the Seafarer’ with a 1,000-strong gathering; Maritime education and related career opportunities highlighted at event   Abu Dhabi Ports informs it celebrated the global ‘Day of the Seafarer’ with as many as 1,000 seafarers. The day is observed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on June 25 each year to raise awareness of the vital role played by seafarers. Abu Dhabi Ports’ Training Centre Reports Successful 2014

Abu Dhabi Ports’ Maritime Training Centre looked back on what it called a successful year, noting a number “success stories” throughout 2014 as the number of trainees at the center increased by 15% in 2014 compared to 2013.   Highlighting its success, the training center noted that five new courses have been added to the program which covers the Channel Familiarization course, the Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) course, the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) course, the High Speed Craft Operators course, as well as the course on Human Element, Leadership and Management (HELM)
