July marks Lesley Keet’s milestone 10th year at Actisense, in a decade which has seen her climb the ranks from Sales and Marketing Manager to Chief Operating Officer.
Lesley Keets joined the multi-award-winning, specialist marine electronics company in July 2007. At the time, Actisense had been established for 10 years and already had a strong reputation for their innovative and reliable products. With marketing experience at national brands but limited experience in the marine industry, Keets had a steep learning curve to gain expert knowledge of the products she was marketing.
More than finding her footing within the industry, Keets quickly became instrumental in the growth of Actisense through the implementation of new sales and marketing initiatives; by 2011 she was promoted to Operations Manager. As Operation Manager Keets lead a 3-year Growth Accelerator Project, enabling Actisense to deliver new products to market quicker than before whilst retaining the celebrated quality of Actisense products. This resulted in an 18% increase in national sales from 2012 to 2014.
In April 2015, Keets was promoted to COO. Two years into this role, Keets has a long list of achievements with the company. This includes guiding Actisense to achieve two major accreditations from the International Organization for Standardization and being invited by the British Marine Federation to represent the British Marine Export Industry at the House of Commons.
