The White House announced President Biden's appointment of former Milwaukee port director, Adam Tindall-Schlicht, as the next Administrator of the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS). The Duluth City Council last week appointed Tyrone Walker to the Duluth Seaway Port Authority Board of Commissioners. Walker, an ironworker with Lakehead Constructors and Ironworkers Local 512, succeeds Norm Voorhees, whose final term on the board concluded in early October. Jason Paulson has been named the new facilities manager at Duluth Seaway Port Authority, where he will serve as a liaison with tenants, service and governmental agencies, private contractors and other property users to derive safe and efficient use of Port Authority-owned land, structures, facilities, equipment and other assets. Paulson stepped into his new role on November 5. Duluth Port Authority Shuffles Management
The Duluth Seaway Port Authority informs it is expanding the role of one of its management team members, reassigning duties of others and will be adding a new facilities manager to the staff in September.
