Two Students Awarded $2,500 NMRA 2022 Marine Trades Education Scholarships

The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) has awarded two scholarships of $2,500 each to students pursuing education in the marine trades beginning this fall.NMRA has actively contributed to the future of the marine industry by awarding marine trades education scholarships annually since 2008.Pearl Farley of Asheville, NC will attend the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. Bernard Dawson of Shepherdsville, KY will attend the Great Lakes Boat Building School.Founded in 1960, NMRA is a professional organization for independent marine industry sales representatives.

NMRA Offers Scholarship to Maritime Student

Aiming to contribute to the future of the marine industry, the National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) announced it is offering a $3,000 scholarship to an outstanding individual pursuing education and a career in the maritime trades. High school seniors, and college and vocational students are encouraged to apply.   “Bringing energetic, talented young people into the marine trades is vital to the collective health of our industry,” said Keith LaMarr, NMRA president. “We encourage schools to promote this scholarship widely to their students.”   The NMRA

NMMA President Helps Kick Off NMRA Scholarship Fund

A friendly competition during the National Marine Representatives Association's (NMRA) yearly Rep Night at IBEX benefitted students in the marine trades. Past NMRA president Rick Silverlake and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) president Thom Dammrich challenged each other with $100 contributions to the NMRA scholarship fund. NMRA has given up to $4,500 in years past to outstanding students pursuing industry careers. The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) is again offering its annual scholarships to students pursuing education in the maritime trades. Interested high school seniors, and college and vocational students can request an application from NMRA. NMRA will award two $500 scholarships to outstanding students seeking careers in marine-related fields. Applications are due on July 1, 2015, and winners will be announced in the summer. Kings Point Student Earns NMRA Scholarship

The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) recently awarded its second $500 scholarship to a student pursuing education in the marine industry and maritime trades. Jacqueline Weymann, of Kings Point, New York, was honored in a presentation made by NMRA past president Norm MacLeod, ComMar Sales vice-president.   Originally from San Diego, California, Midshipman Weymann is a student at the United States Merchant Marine Academy and is pursuing a bachelor's of science degree in intermodal transportation and logistics. The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) awarded two scholarships to students pursuing careers in the field. Noah Luff of Ventura, California is one of the recipients of the association's $500 scholarship. Keith LaMarr and Chris Martorana of Macaroni Marketing made the presentation.
