Laborde Products recently expanded its procurement department, with long-time veteran Dan Murphy leading the way. Seattle based naval architecture and marine engineering firm Elliott Bay Design Group has added two marine professionals, Grayson Laborde and George Scully, to its New Orleans office.Laborde is a recent graduate of the University of New Orleans, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Over the past year, he has interned with Elliott Bay Design Group in the New Orleans office. Dugas Named Laborde's General Service Manager
Laborde Products has hired Bobby Dugas as its general service manager, company president Brian Laborde announced during a recent company-wide meeting. Dugas has more than 25 years of experience in the engine service business. Most recently, he held the position of general manager of aftermarket services at Reagan Power & Compression. In his new role, Dugas will be responsible for service support operations at all three Laborde locations, as well as the company's extensive network of over 90 service dealers. He will work out of Laborde's Covington, Louisiana corporate headquarters.
Laborde Hosts Mitsubishi Training Seminar
Laborde Products hosted a three-day Mitsubishi engine training sminar in Covington, Louisiana for its North American dealers. The company welcomed representatives from all over the continent: Boatswains Locker, Mack Boring & Parts Company, Inc., Sansom Equipment Limited, Frontier Power and Hatton Marine all had participants in attendance, and Ted Hahn, vice president of Mitsubishi Engine North America also came to the seminar.
