Navigators Hires Pesce to Launch Surety Department

Navigators Management Company, a division of The Navigators Group, Inc., has hired David Pesce to launch a new Contract and Commercial Surety Department. Based in Iselin, N.J. Pesce will initially focus on contract and commercial surety in the small and middle market segments as well as environmental surety.

 
Pesce’s background encompasses contract surety, commercial surety and environmental surety. He joins Navigators from AXIS Insurance where he led the expansion of AXIS’ surety division. Prior to AXIS, he spent seven years at Berkley Surety Group, where he was a key member of the senior management team, responsible for all aspects of its contract and environmental surety business. Pesce began his career at Seaboard Surety Company and has held positions at Reliance Surety Company, Liberty Mutual Surety and Crum & Forster Insurance. 
 
A Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), Pesce holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. Pesce is a past Chairman of the National Association of Independent Sureties, sits on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP), and is a frequent speaker at construction industry conferences.
