Avalos Joins Reactive Downhole Tools

Reactive Downhole Tools, supplier of lower completion systems to the global oil and gas industry, has marked its fourth year of trading with the appointment of a business development manager for the North America region.
 
Stacey Avalos joins the management team and will be based at Reactive’s 30,000 sq ft Houston office and facility, which was launched in 2013 and represented an investment of $5 million.
 
Her experience includes a seven-year period with Baker Hughes which comprised a number of field engineer roles, and latterly a post as operations manager for which she led engineering teams and projects, whilst handling profit and loss (P&L) for West Central Area completions.
 
Having recently installed its 24,000th packer, the new appointment further demonstrates Reactive’s commitment to the region.
 
Mike Allen, chief executive officer of Reactive, said: “We’re incredibly proud of all we’ve achieved since Reactive’s inception, having grown from a team of two, to a multinational business employing 25 and holding both ISO 9001 and ISO 29001 quality accreditation. We have recently reached a significant landmark with the recent the installation of our 24,000th packer in just four years, which really is testament to the quality of our products, services and open and trustworthy approach.

To extend its largescale plans and offering in the US, Reactive is exhibiting at OTC, Houston for the third consecutive time.
 
Mike continued: “Opening our Houston base has been a real milestone for Reactive and the pinnacle of our international success thus far. Having this permanent and substantial presence in the US allows us to carry out the testing and manufacturing required to fully support our growing customer base. We are confident that exhibiting at this year’s OTC will give us the opportunity to build upon our successes to date and further underpin our dedication to the area.”
 
Established in Aberdeen in 2012, the company currently employs a team of 25 across its bases in Aberdeen, Houston, Abu Dhabi, Norway and Rio de Janeiro as well as holding a number of representative agreements worldwide.
