Window Joins SIMWAVE as Navigation Manager

As of August 2017 Steve Window has joined SIMWAVE, the maritime simulation center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As the Manager for Navigation, Window will be responsible for overseeing all training and assessments on the various full mission bridge simulators that will be installed at the 5,000m² center.   Prior to joining SIMWAVE Window worked for eight years at Warsash Maritime Academy, where he was head of bridge simulation. SUNY Maritime to Train NYC’s Next Ferry Captains

City of Burgas Opens Maritime Simulator Center

VSTEP was selected as maritime simulator supplier and has delivered and installed a DNV certified Class A NAUTIS Full Mission Bridge Simulator with 240° projection view at the facility, as well as an instructor station and debriefing area for after action review. .   Accommodating a growing workforce of 270 full time management and admin employees, the facilities include a crew manning suite which saw the arrival of 1,000 seafarers on its opening day to register with the group. SCI’s New Chapter in Maritime Training
