Vesper Marine Plots Americas Expansion

Marine safety products manufacturer Vesper Marine said it has appointed of a vice president of sales for Americas, and opened of its new U.S. office. As vice president of sales for Americas, Jason Young will focus on customer service and new account development. 

 
Additionally, Vesper Marine has engaged sales and marketing group Richards Marine Marketing to represent the business throughout the West Coast and Canadian markets. Richards Marine Marketing principal, Mark Richards, will build sales for Vesper Marine’s innovative smartAIS transponders through his network of boat builders, distributors and dealers. This follows the announcement of Wickes Marine as the sales and marketing representative group for the East Coast.
 
With increased demand for commercial and recreational AIS transponders in the U.S. and Canadian markets, Vesper Marine said it is consolidating its sales and marketing efforts with well-established regional partners.
 
“With this infrastructure in place and through their collective efforts, we will be able to greatly accelerate the growth of our smartAIS products in this vital market,” said Vesper Marine CEO, Jeff Robbins.
 
Young – a marine industry veteran who has worked as a technical and installation expert, sales and distribution professional – previously served as outside sales director for CWR Electronics, Inc.
 
His mandate at Vesper Marine is to drive new business through focused distribution and customer education; expand the overall AIS market, and provide Vesper Marine with trend analysis to keep the company at the forefront of innovation. Young will operate from Vesper Marine’s new office in West Creek, N.J.
