The Maritime Alliance Seeks Executive Director
The Maritime Alliance in San Diego is search for an executive director, a full-time salaried position with a compensation range from $75,000 to $100,000.
The executive director would help manage operations of a leading BlueTech cluster organization and oversee day-to-day programs. The TMA Mission Statement is “Promoting Sustainable, Science-Based Ocean & Water Industries”. The ideal candidate understands the need to balance conservation and economic development and has a passion for working with academia/education, industry and government/policy makers (the Triple Helix) to promote a regional Blue Voice and to promote sustainable development. The ideal candidate would be in position to start on November 1, 2018.
Entering its 13th year in 2019, TMA has over 90 regional and international members and is a proud charter member of the BlueTech Cluster Alliance made up of 10 leading BlueTech clusters from 8 countries (Canada, France, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, U.K. & U.S)
The Executive Director works closely with the President and the Board of Directors to promote a common Blue Voice and create an ecosystem of companies, policy makers, economic development officials, researchers, educators, innovators and students that collaborate on promoting sustainable ocean and water industry development.
