Global maritime navigation supplier Nautisk has appointed John Dawson as Project Manager.
Based in the U.K., Dawson will be responsible for driving new business with a focus on Europe, and identifying new business areas across the market. He will also take a lead role in new product development.
Dawson has previously worked at the UKHO as Head of Sales and Customer Service and more recently as a business consultant, advising a wide range of clients in the maritime sector.
Dawson’s appointment comes as the company gets set to launch its new voyage planning suite at Norshipping later this year.
“2017 sees the beginning of an important new era for Nautisk as we launch a number of new products and services for navigation, route planning and back of bridge operations,” said Head of Global Sales Peter J Pran. “We are moving from our role as a traditional chart agent to that of a software house, and our team of developers are at the forefront of technology when it comes to navigation and voyage optimization.”
“Our newest product, NaviTab, has seen a sharp rise in sales over the past few months, with more and more customers seeing the benefit for their fleets of having all their essential publications in one, handheld, electronic library. We expect sales of NaviTab to continue to accelerate as we position it alongside our new offering, which launches at Norshipping in June,” Pran said.
