Marine electronic equipment provider Actisense has undergone an internal reorganization.

Danny Thrasher, Head of Sales & Operations, has taken on the newly created role of Head of Sales & Marketing. Additionally, Mark Pay former Operations Supervisor, has been promoted to the role of Operations Manager.

As the Head of Sales & Operations, Thrasher has been responsible for promoting the Actisense brand overseas as well as managing the internal operations team. In his new role as Head of Sales & Marketing, he will be aligning sales activities with the company’s global business development plans. This will include exploring new markets around the world in areas such as Africa and South East Asia. He will also be targeting new sectors for Actisense products including the automotive, industrial automation and agricultural vehicle markets. He will continue to work closely with overseas distributors, travelling extensively to international trade shows to ensure that the Actisense brand remains prominent.

As Operations Manager, Pay will be increasing his responsibilities as he takes charge of the Operations and Production teams at Actisense. Having undergone extensive training since joining Actisense in February 2017, Pay will oversee the production warehouse, making sure it runs smoothly and assigning programming priorities. He will also be closely monitoring stock and component quantities. This will prepare Actisense for growth in new markets, plus increase internal efficiency and minimize costs, the company said.

Serving both the leisure and commercial marine markets, Actisense grew by over 25 percent in 2017 alone. Based in Poole they also expanded their extensive international network into new markets including China, India and South America. The company now works with more than 70 distributors in 42 countries, stretching from Norway to New Zealand, Canada to Korea and all of mainland Europe.
