Friends Strengthen Turkish Tug Builder
Reflecting its now dominant role in the international tug bulding market, Sanmar Shipyards in Turkey has taken the decision to significantly strengthen its team of executive directors with the appointment of two widely experienced men to bolster the existing board's range of experience and expertise. Although recruited independently, by some strange coincidence, the two new appointees first met as eleven year old boys. Oben Naki Heads to Canada
Emphasising the close working relationship which exists between naval architects Robert Allan Ltd and Turkish shipbuilders Sanmar Ltd, Sanmar's Oben Naki has relocated to Vancouver BC to join the Canadian designers as contracts manager (Turkey). Naki joined Sanmar Shipyards in 2007 immediately on qualifying as a naval architect and marine engineer. He has since gone on to obtain an MBA at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey’s leading educational establishment. Sanmar has currently constructed some 120 tugs of various sizes and power to Robert Allan designs.
IBAC Executive Training Participants Visit Sanmar
