Hapag-Lloyd Names Sonne Senior Managing Director for North Europe
German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd announced Joerg Sonne will become Senior Managing Director Region North Europe, succeeding Martin Rolf, who will take over the position of Managing Director Human Resources.Sonne joined Hapag-Lloyd as a result of the merger with UASC and successfully led Area Arabian Gulf from 2017 to 2022. Geodis Wilson Names Hansen Regional VP
Geodis Wilson has appointed Matthias Hansen as the new regional vice president (RVP), EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) with immediate effect. Hansen has been acting as interim RVP for the last few months. He now replaces Alain Chimene on a permanent basis. Hansen became managing director for Germany in 2009 and also served as managing director North Europe (including Belgium, Netherland and United Kingdom). Hansen will continue with his responsibilities in the North European region in addition to his new role, until a successor is nominated.
