Rooney Appointed Business Development Manager, Forth Port
Ann Rooney as its new Business Development Manager to focus on oil and gas support and decommissioning activity for Scotland. Ann is a senior executive experienced in business development and operational functions within the shipping, logistics and marine sector. She previously worked with DB Schenker for seven years in various roles and also with GAC Shipping Limited as project coordinator and ships agent. Ann, who has started with the business, will be based in Aberdeen and work across the Scottish operation, which operates seven commercial ports on the Tay and Forth Estuaries
Woo to Head HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s APAC Division
at HANSA HEAVY LIFT, taking over from Joerg Roehl. Woo, who will be based at the shipping line’s Asia headquarters in Singapore, has two decades of experience in the supply chain and shipping industry, including senior roles with BBC Chartering, DHL Global Forwarding Management and DB Schenker, where he helped build teams in the region. Roehl, who was part of the company’s founding management team, decided to move back to Europe after almost six years with the organization. Dr. Thomas Lieb leaves Schenker AG
Dr. Thomas Lieb, 56, Chairman of Management Board of Schenker AG, will leave the company and the Deutsche Bahn Group effective March 31, 2015. He already resigned from his position as Head of Business Unit DB Schenker Logistics and Chairman of Management Board of Schenker AG yesterday. Dr. Lieb and DB group decided this by best mutual agreement.
