Brexit: The Implications for Shipping

UK left the EU but the terms of the trade would change.   Since the early 1970s – but particularly since the mid-1980s – the EU has become involved in the shipping sector. Over time, an enormous volume of law has been adopted – regulations, directives and decisions as well as case law.    If the UK were to leave the EU then the logical question would be as to what would happen to that law vis-à-vis the UK.
