Nolan Tapped to Take Over as TOTE CEO
Nolan has been named the next president and CEO of U.S. domestic ocean carrier TOTE Inc., parent company Saltchuk announced today. TOTE is the parent company to TOTE Maritime and TOTE Services.Nolan, who is currently president of TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico, will succeed retiring president CEO Anthony Chiarello who will step down July 16 after eight years at the helm.Nolan has been with the TOTE family of companies since 2013. TOTE President Chiarello to Retire
TOTE Inc. president and CEO Anthony Chiarello will retire this summer after eight years at the helm and nearly four decades in the maritime industry. “As I look ahead to my 63rd birthday later this year, it is time for me to spend more time with my family and loved ones,” Chiarello said. “I am blessed with a large family and many beautiful grandchildren, and I look forward to adjusting the priorities in my life.” TOTE said its parent company Saltchuk will make an announcement regarding Chiarello’s successor in due course. White House Honors Chiarello for LNG Efforts
TOTE, Inc. President and CEO Anthony Chiarello is among 11 honored by the White House as 2014 transportation industry “Champions of Change.” Chiarello was chosen for his role in leading the U.S. maritime industry toward natural gas as fuel.
