Alfa Laval Taps Matthews to Head of UK & Ireland Marine Business

Alfa Laval announced it has appointed Tristan Matthews as the Head of Marine Division for the U.K. and Ireland, effective March 1, 2022.In the new role, Matthews will hold responsibility for driving partnerships with U.K. customers in the marine industry with a strong focus on sustainability, decarbonization, future fuels and alternative technologies.Matthews originally joined Alfa Laval in 2016 as a Marine Sales Engineer for Alfa Laval Marine Service. Anders Lindmark, formerly Head of Alfa Laval PureBallast, has transitioned from ballast water treatment into another compliance application. As Business Unit President, Gas Systems, he now oversees the Alfa Laval PureSOx offering in exhaust gas cleaning.On May 1, Anders Lindmark stepped into his new role as Business Unit President, Gas Systems. The move follows years of service in ballast water treatment, comprising a number of key milestones for Alfa Laval PureBallast 3. Bergink takes over as Framo CEO

Sameer Kalra has passed the helm of pumping system manufacturer Framo over to new CEO Martijn Bergink.Bergink will be based in Bergen, Norway. Formerly President of Business Unit Boiler and Gas System at Alfa Laval, he has held various positions within Alfa Laval since 1998. Educated as a chemical engineer, Bergink holds an McS degree in Chemistry.Kalra, the former Framo CEO moves across to parent company Alfa Laval as the new head of the Alfa Laval Marine Division and a member of the Alfa Laval Group Management.

Klaus Andreasen Joins the Bawat Team

Bawat has hired Klaus Andreasen as Senior Sales Manager effective as of September 1, 2016. He will be the new man in charge of Bawat’s sales department and will be the customer’s primary contact.   Andreasen has several years of experience from Alfa Laval, where he held different positions as manager most recent, head of Alfa Laval’s industry aftermarket for customers. Previously he has been in charge of new buildings in both Maersk and TORM where he gained unique knowledge and experience within shipbuilding, ship operating and execution of shipbuilding projects.
