Aberdeen Harbor Names Harbor Master, Marine Manager

Aberdeen Harbor Board said it has completed the restructuring of its Marine Operations Department with the internal appointment of Captain Jeff Gaskin as new Harbor Master and Alexandra McIntosh as Marine Manager.   Gaskin, formerly the Harbor’s Marine Superintendent, has been appointed Harbor Master following the retirement of Captain Ray Shaw. Gaskin has 26 years’ experience within the maritime sector. He started his career as a cadet with Louis Dreyfus Shipping in 1990 and enjoyed spells with both PNTL and Cunard before ending his seagoing career with Vector Offshore in Aberdeen.

McGuigan Named Operations Manager at Aberdeen Harbor

Aberdeen Harbor Board has appointed John McGuigan to the newly created role of Operations Manager. The role will see McGuigan plan, direct and control the full spectrum of land based operational activities within the port, while working with others, including customers, port users and the harbor’s safety department, in delivering a safe working environment for all.  Having been involved in the port industry for more than 30 years, McGuigan started his career with British Steel and has since worked for Clydeport, Peel Ports and was previously the E.ON UK terminal manager in Liverpool
