ISS Names Olsen VP for Ship & Crew Solutions

Maritime and logistics service provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) announced the appointment of Frank Olsen as Vice President, Ship & Crew Solutions.
 
Based in Oslo, Olsen will aim to drive the growth and strategic development of ISS’ Ship & Crew Solutions, a combination of traditional vessel husbandry with centralized services. Working as a leading member of the company’s global commercial team, Olsen will ensure that the company’s Ship & Crew Solutions continue to deliver cost savings and value-added services to its expanding customer base. Key focus areas will be Crew Logistics Services, Owners Matters, Husbandry Services and Ship Spares Logistics.
 
Olsen joins ISS from his previous role as Global Operations Director, Ship Agency & Maritime Logistics at Wilhelmsen Ships Service and will report to Chief Commercial Officer, Neill Tomlin.
 
Olsen has over 15 years’ experience in the maritime industry including his career in the Norwegian Navy, drilling rigs in the North Sea and worldwide trade on RORO vessels. Since going ashore as a regional port captain in the Middle East in 2007, he has held a number of senior management positions in ships agency and maritime logistics and returned to his native Norway two years ago.
