have overall responsibility for the HSEQ function within the drilling company.She will be based in Dolphin Drilling's new offices and operational center in Stavanger. Leiknes Ulriksen holds a master's degree in Business Administration and has previously held roles with drillers such as Songa Offshore and Odfjell Drilling.In PSW Group  Leiknes Ulriksen served as QHSE Director with projects such in which she assisted Schlumberger, with the development of Company Management System for Total Well Delivery on the Equinor Peregrino 3;  assisted Transocean with the AOC process for Transocean

Teekay Offshore Taps Steinsland as CFO

CFO, Tim Cowan, will step down effective September 3, 2018, but will remain with the Partnership for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.Steinsland brings approximately 30 years of energy and offshore industry experience, including most recently serving as CFO of drilling contractor Songa Offshore SE, where he was a member of the senior management team and oversaw strategic financial planning and reporting, and established a proven track record of accretive contract renegotiations and raising capital from various sources, including commercial debt and the debt and equity capital markets

Hundreds of Norway Oil Workers Go On Strike

, making Norway the world's seventh biggest producer and Europe's largest gas supplier after Russia.Safe said workers on rigs that conduct exploration or production drilling for oil firms would also walk out on Tuesday.That includes 117 workers from the Transocean Spitsbergen rig; 80 from the Songa Offshore Enabler; 71 from Odfjell Drilling's Deepsea Stavanger; and 60 from North Atlantic Drilling's West Elara rig.Others set to join the action include 40 Archer drilling workers on the Snorre B platform operated by Equinor; 67 from COSL working on the COSL Innovator rig; 50 from Island Offshore

Mannering Named Polarcus Chairman

Michael Mannering has been nominated to succeed Polarcus’ outgoing chairman of the board, Peter Rigg, with effect from the 2018 AGM on May 10.Rigg will retire after a decade as chairman of the marine geophysical company, having served in the role since the company’s inception in 2008.Mannering has previously held many senior corporate positions in Schlumberger as well as chairman and, subsequently, non-executive director of Songa Offshore until its acquisition by Transocean. He has a BSc (First Class) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton.
