Giaever to Take Over as CFO at NAT, NAO

 Bjorn Giaever will take up his position as the new chief financial officer (CFO) at Nordic American Tankers Limited (NAT) and Nordic American Offshore Ltd. (NAO) from October 16, 2017.   Giaever joins NAT/NAO from maritime focused investment bank Fearnley Securities AS, where he served as a director and partner in the Corporate Finance division. Giaever has served as a corporate advisor in the John Fredriksen group in London, top rated Senior Shipping Analyst in DNB Markets and partner in Inge Steensland AS, specializing in gas related maritime matters.    Outgoing NAT/NAO CFO

NAO Names Executive Vice Chair

On June 1st 2016, Ms Marianne Lie assumed the position of Executive Vice Chair of Nordic American Tankers Limited (NAO).  Prior to this Ms Lie had served as the non-executive Vice Chair of NAO since the end of 2013, shortly after NAO was established. Tor-Oivind Bjorkli, Managing Director of NAO, now reports to Ms Lie, who has a wealth of offshore energy experience in the main markets of NAO, above all in the British and Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Shipyard Takeover in Northern Germany

The American Welding Society (AWS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the science of welding, has announced  the opening of AWS Asia. Stolt-Nielsen Limited (Oslo Bors: SNI) announced its intention to relocate its tankers' staff in Norwalk, Connecticut to Houston, Texas.
