New Appointments at Duluth Seaway Port Authority

, retired executive director of the Duluth Airport Authority, was reappointed by the Duluth City Council in October 2016 to a third, six-year term on the Duluth Seaway Port Authority Board. Klosowski, a retired Brigadier General, commanded the 148th Fighter Wing at Duluth from 1989 to 1995 and the Minnesota Air National Guard from 1995 to 1997. He was inducted into the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame in 2007. Jet Edge Promotes Bauer to Service Manager

Waterjet systems manufacturer Jet Edge, Inc. announced the promotion of Josh Bauer to service manager. Bauer is responsible for managing all aspects of Jet Edge’s waterjet service department, supporting customers worldwide.   A longtime Jet Edge employee, Bauer began his career with the Minnesota waterjet systems manufacturer in 2005 after graduating from Hennepin Technical College with a degree as a fluid power engineering technician. He has held positions in Jet Edge’s production and service departments, most recently serving as a field service technician.

New Facilities Manager at Duluth Seaway Port Authority

, he served as operations manager/trainmaster with the Union Pacific and CN-IC Railroad. Earlier in his career (and throughout college), he was a land surveyor and GIS analyst with Livgard Surveying, Inc. The former U.S. Marine Corps officer and naval aviator graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a double major in history and political science.    The Port Authority initiated a move in August to expand the role of its former facilities manager, Jim Sharrow, into that of director of port planning and resiliency. MTU Launch Minnesota Youth Apprenticeship Program
