Mdawe Takes Over As TNPA COO

Port of London Authority Names Chief Harbor Master

The Port of London Authority (PLA) has appointed Bob Baker as chief harbor master.   Bob Baker will join the PLA from Forth Ports, where he has been chief harbor master since 2001.  He will succeed David Phillips, who is retiring from the PLA in April, after nine years’ service.   Bob Baker’s seagoing career lasted from 1975 to 1991, before he came ashore to work at the Port of Tilbury, latterly as general manager, conventional operations and harbor master. Miller Rejoins TITAN as Salvage Master

Captain Stuart Miller has rejoined Crowley Maritime Corporation’s TITAN Salvage operations team as salvage master, bringing with him over 30 years of worldwide, hands-on maritime and salvage experience. David Zacharias, the Supervisor of Apprenticeship for American Maritime Holdings (AMH), has earned a Master Trainer certificate and also an Administrator certificate from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Aberdeen Harbor Names Harbor Master, Marine Manager

Aberdeen Harbor Board said it has completed the restructuring of its Marine Operations Department with the internal appointment of Captain Jeff Gaskin as new Harbor Master and Alexandra McIntosh as Marine Manager.   Gaskin, formerly the Harbor’s Marine Superintendent, has been appointed Harbor Master following the retirement of Captain Ray Shaw. Gaskin has 26 years’ experience within the maritime sector. He started his career as a cadet with Louis Dreyfus Shipping in 1990 and enjoyed spells with both PNTL and Cunard before ending his seagoing career with Vector Offshore in Aberdeen.
