KPI Bridge Oil Promotes Groves

KPI Bridge Oil has promoted Sam Groves to senior bunker and lubricants trader at its London office. Groves, who is currently working toward his Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers qualification, has been with KPI Bridge Oil Group for six years, joining the company as a trainee and working up through the ranks.

Maritime Partners Aim to Increase Opportunities for Women

Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA International) and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (The Institute) are partnering to increase the professional competence and enhance educational opportunities for women in the maritime industry. In a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has signed  in London, the two organizations will offer five scholarships annually over the next 10 years to individuals nominated by WISTA International. While with Intermarine he served in chartering roles located in Denmark, Kuala Lumpur and Houston. Malta Maritime Forum Targets Professional Education

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and the Malta Maritime Forum have signed an MoU which will support the education of shipping professionals in Malta as part of the island’s maritime growth strategy.   The MoU formalizes informal co-operation between the MMF and the Institute which goes back 40 years and will serve as a vehicle to jointly formulate and develop activities. XL Catlin has announced the promotion of Rob McAdams to the position of Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Marine with immediate effect. Previously, McAdams held the role of UK/ Ireland Marine Leader. McAdams has 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
