SUNY Maritime Among Top Schools for Career Placement

The Princeton Review’s annual college rankings place State University of New York Maritime College among the top 10 in the nation for career placement after graduation. This year, SUNY Maritime came in seventh place. SUNY Maritime Approved as NY Tax-free Site

The State University of New York Maritime College is officially open for business, after receiving formal designation as a tax-free area under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s START-UP NY program. In a March 2 letter to Maritime College President Michael A. Maritime Companies Scout for Interns, Employees at San Jacinto College

Ten maritime companies looking to hire interns and full-time employees recently conducted interviews with students at the San Jacinto College Maritime Technology and Training Center on the Maritime Campus. After a day of maritime transportation classes, the students gathered their resumes, took to the hallways, and waited their turns to speak with company representatives to vie for internships. SUNY Maritime among Top Institutions for ROI

Graduates from SUNY Maritime College receive among the highest return on investment on their degrees in the country.   In its annual report of best value colleges, PayScale ranked SUNY Maritime College as the top public institution for return on investment and third nationally, tied with Harvey Mudd College and following California Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.   The college also came in first among public institutions and fifth nationally according to a similar ranking by CNN Money, after MIT, Cal Tech, Harvey Mudd and Stanford University.   &ld

SUNY Maritime Ranked a Top College
