Public Affairs Officer for the Long Beach City Manager’s Office, a position she has held for almost three years. As Director of Communications and Community Relations for the Port, she will oversee media relations, crisis communications, community engagement and educational outreach at the Harbor Department. The Communications Division works with all divisions of the Harbor Department to disseminate information to the public, media and industry stakeholders about the Port’s role in facilitating domestic and international trade as the second-busiest seaport in the nation.
Port of Long Beach Promotes Lewis
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners approved the selection of Stacey Lewis as Director of Human Resources Services to lead the division that administers employment for the Harbor Department. The appointment is effective July 1. Lewis, the Port’s Assistant Director of Human Resources, was promoted to Director following the retirement of the previous HR Director. The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners this week named two Harbor Department engineering leaders as the new Chief Harbor Engineer and the new Director of Program Management. The Appointments are effective April 29. Suzanne Plezia, the Port's Director of Construction Management, has been promoted to Senior Director of the Engineering Bureau’s Program Delivery Group. Port of Long Beach Adds Three Directors
The Board of Harbor Commissioners has approved the appointments of new directors for the Port of Long Beach’s Finance, Surveys and Transportation Planning divisions. Maurina Lee, previously the Harbor Department’s controller, will become the Director of Finance. She has been controller since March of last year and was previously finance manager for the city of Downey from 2006 to 2015. Harbor Commission Approves Port Budget - Long Beach

Morrison Named POLB Asst. Managing Director
