.  Before that he was Head of Global Customer Solutions at DHL since 2006.  He began his career at Royal Nedlloyd, the former Dutch shipping company, before joining Danzas, the Swiss logistics firm, which merged with DHL in 1999. Habben Jansen, who is a Dutch citizen, graduated from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1991 with a degree in Economics.

Habben Jansen Takes over as Hapag-Lloyd CEO

AG's Executive Board as scheduled on June 30, as did COO Ulrich Kranich. The new COO is Anthony J. Firmin who joined the Executive Board today after 19 years at the company. Peter Ganz continues as CFO, a position he has held since April 2009. Habben Jansen graduated in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1991. In the same year, he embarked on his career as a trainee at the former Dutch shipping company Royal Nedlloyd. He held a number of different positions both there and at the Swiss logistics firm Danzas, before the latter merged with DHL, the subsidiary of Deutsche Post AG

NOAA Names Pentony Atlantic Fisheries Administrator

NOAA has named Michael Pentony as the new Regional Administrator for the Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office in Gloucester, Mass. He will assume his new duties on January 22, 2018.   Pentony has been with the agency since 2002, serving in a series of positions including as the Assistant Regional Administrator for the Sustainable Fisheries Division since 2014. Andhra Signs MoU with Russian Maritime Varsity

 The Indian state of Andhra Pradesh (AP) Andhra Pradesh will soon have a world class maritime university.   AP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia's State Marine Technical University to promote marine education and technology.   The agreement was signed at the port city of St. Petersburg on the first day of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Russia on Wednesday.
