Bollinger Shipyards announced that Andrew Hinkebein has been named Director of Government Affairs and will lead all state and local government relations efforts. Bollinger Launches 'Shipfitter Bootcamp'

Bollinger Shipyards recently kicked off its inaugural Shipfitter Bootcamp, a workforce development initiative alongside Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC), the South Mississippi Planning & Development District and AccelerateMS that will recruit, hire, and train the next generation of skilled shipbuilders. Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, students will learn the essential functions that are required to become a Shipfitter in a 14-week program. The first 12 weeks will be taught at MGCCC and the final two weeks will be taught on-site at Bollinger

Bollinger Shipyards announced it has hired Nathan Schneider as Director of Engineering for its Bollinger Mississippi Shipyard (BMS). Bollinger Shipyards has promoted Brent Blackburn as Director of Engineering.   Blackburn has more than 16 years of experience in the U.S. shipbuilding and maritime industry. He joined Bollinger in 2004 working in various engineering, estimating, and proposal roles mainly focusing on the company’s government programs. Blackburn’s career began as a Project Engineer in Bollinger’s engineering group and rose through the engineering and technical design departments. In 2014, he was promoted to Technical Manager.
